BLACK FASHION DESIGNERS

By December 6, 2016 No Comments

Black Fashion Designers, the latest exhibition at the Museum at FIT, examines the effect of both African American and African designers on the fashion industry through approximately 70 fashion objects by more than 30 designers, dating from the 1950’s to present. The exhibit, which also covers the impact of African American fashion models, aims to invigorate the conversation about diversity, and to honor design talents who have been historically overlooked.
